A Day in the Life of the Senior Director of Applications & Systems

In this role, you’ll own the strategy, performance, and scalability of the company’s core business systems, including Salesforce, HubSpot, telephony platforms, and other critical SaaS applications. You’ll lead a high-performing team while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations to ensure systems are secure, integrated, and optimized for growth. Your leadership will directly impact revenue operations, automation strategy, and the company’s next phase of scale.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for business applications and enterprise systems
  • Lead and develop a team managing Salesforce, HubSpot, telephony, and related platforms
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and overall performance
  • Drive integration strategy across internal and external systems
  • Partner with executive leadership to align systems investments with company goals
  • Establish governance frameworks, data integrity standards, and best practices
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage system budgets
  • Prioritize system enhancements and lead new technology initiativesImprove operational efficiency through automation and process optimization
  • Build a high-performance, accountable team culture with clear KPIs and ownership

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or technology leadership
  • Serve as the technical owner for Salesforce CPQ and Billing, partnering with stakeholders across the quote-to-cash process to translate pricing and packaging requirements into scalable configuration.
  • 5+ years managing teams supporting core SaaS business systems
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce, HubSpot, and telephony/communications platforms
  • Strong knowledge of systems architecture, integrations, and data governance
  • Experience supporting go-to-market, revenue operations, or customer lifecycle workflows
  • Proven ability to align technical strategy with measurable business outcomes
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
