Overview
Associate Director, Software Engineering - Workday Functional Lead at Kyndryl. The role leads Workday Hire to Retire portfolio, providing strategic direction, implementation, and ongoing management of Kyndryl's Workday solutions. Requires extensive Workday knowledge and experience managing large-scale ERP projects. Collaborates with HR, Finance, IT, and other business units to ensure Workday aligns with business objectives and enhances operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic roadmap for Workday solutions at Kyndryl; align Workday initiatives with the overall business strategy; serve as a Workday subject matter expert within the organization.
- Program Management: Oversee the implementation and optimization of Workday modules, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget; manage the Workday portfolio including new implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems; develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Workday professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment; provide direction and support for continuous improvement and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Workday solutions; communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership; build and maintain relationships with Workday, vendors, and consultants.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the Workday platform is stable, secure, and optimized for performance; develop and implement best practices, standards, and governance for Workday usage; monitor KPIs and metrics related to Workday initiatives.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Skilled in Workday Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent and Performance, Security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT or HR technology, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing Workday implementations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale Workday projects, including HCM and other modules; global experience and cross-functional team leadership.
- Deep expertise in Workday solutions and architecture; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Workday Pro certification or Implementation certification preferred.

Compensation
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $138,480 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary by geography, skills, and experience. For part-time roles, compensation is adjusted accordingly. Some locations have different ranges (California, Colorado, New York City, Washington, Washington DC). Eligible for discretionary annual bonus; comprehensive benefits; sales commission option if applicable. Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
