Sr Director of Software Engineering - MarTech

A leading MarTech company is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the architecture, development, and expansion of a high-impact integration and platform engineering team. This leader will oversee the buildout of scalable, cloud-based systems that connect solutions across the advertising and marketing technology landscape.
Location: San Jose, CA (Remote after the first 4-6 weeks)
Salary: Up to 205k base + bonus
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product to translate roadmap requirements into scalable engineering solutions
- Drive delivery from early-stage releases through full production deployment
- Ensure high-quality, reliable product releases across multiple integration tracks
- Lead integrations with major advertising, marketing, and data platforms
- Oversee privacy-centric data collaboration environments and secure data-sharing workflows
- Guide server-side API integrations with large platform partners
- Build and maintain robust data connectivity solutions with third-party intermediaries
- Define and evolve system architecture for high-scale, cloud-native SaaS products
- Improve modularity, scalability, observability, and performance across the platform
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale software architectures
- 4+ years building and operating cloud-based SaaS platforms
- Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams
- Strong background in API development and third-party system integrations
- Experience with modern cloud platforms, data infrastructure and large-scale data processing systems
- Background in advertising technology, marketing technology, or large-scale consumer data platforms
- Experience integrating with large platform ecosystems and secure data environments
- Experience delivering enterprise-grade APIs and distributed systems
