Legend Biotech entered into a global collaboration agreement with Janssen, one of the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, to jointly develop and commercialize ciltacabtagene autolecuel (cilta‑cel). Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Position : Medical Science Liaison (MSL) — Medical Affairs

Territory : Southeast (LA, AL, MS, GA) – candidates must reside within the territory or within a 30‑minute commute from the nearest territory border.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify KOLs within the assigned territory and establish and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs at academic and community institutions.
  • Execute activities at the assigned territory level in full alignment with Medical Affairs strategies and tactics.
  • Oversee Legend Biotech‑sponsored clinical trial sites, including site identification, patient accrual discussions, site initiation or feasibility, and serve as the primary field‑based point of contact between investigators and internal teams; address AE management and education as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners, including those part of strategic alliances.
  • Assist in implementing and engaging key opinion leaders in advisory boards, consultant meetings, and other scientific meetings.
  • Collect and communicate clinical insights and intelligence on the market environment, clinical strategies, competition, and other developments relevant to Legend Biotech's success.
  • Represent and support Legend Biotech at hematology/oncology scientific meetings, including congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and investigator meetings; interpret and report findings with recommendations for action to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary local point of contact for investigators and their research staff who may participate in company‑sponsored or investigator‑initiated clinical trials.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral presentation and communication skills through provision of clinical presentations and information delivery to academic and community healthcare providers in both group and one‑on‑one settings.
  • Relay important medical insights to key Legend Biotech stakeholders as gathered from field interactions and congress/meeting attendance.
  • Assist in developing field‑based MSL resources, training materials and other projects as needed.
  • Maintain focus and composure in uncertain circumstances with minimal directions.
  • Demonstrate high organizational and interpersonal skills and sound judgment in all functions.
  • Maintain in‑depth scientific and therapeutic knowledge, including Legend Biotech and competitive products as well as disease states within the franchise.
  • Fully understand and apply MSL SOPs/guidelines and company HCC/Regulatory/Legal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Advanced terminal degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) or other advanced medical degree (NP, PA, etc.) with 2+ years relevant therapeutic‑area clinical experience.
  • 2–3 years relevant work experience (clinical, fellowship, or research) and/or related PhRMA work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner and maintain relationships within the medical community.
  • Knowledge or experience in hematology/oncology and/or immunology is highly preferred.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/congresses/headquarters.
  • Travel on the job: 60 %; overnight travel, including some weekend commitments.
  • Comfort with utilization of computer, company applications, and remote technology.
  • Self‑motivation, strategic thinking, and strong geographical management skills.
  • Customer‑centric mindset, recognizing and meeting diversity of customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships and build networks.

  • This position does not offer relocation compensation.
