Medical Science Liaison

CDC Global Solutions, Town of Texas, WI, United States

We have partnered with a Liquid Biopsy company dedicated to reducing suffering and saving lives through the early detection of cancer. Backed by extensive clinical validation, they are advancing one of the most important innovations in modern medicine: detecting cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages through a simple blood draw.

We are looking for a passionate MSL to join our Medical Affairs team, whose mission is to launch our test portfolio and enable appropriately phased patient awareness and access through multiple direct and indirect channels.

The Medical Science Liaison will assume a critical role acting as a scientific and clinical expert to build strong, evidence-based relationships among clinicians, patients, and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Engage KOLs across oncology, OB/GYN, primary care, genetics, diagnostics, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver scientific exchange on early cancer biology, biomarkers (ctDNA), clinical performance, workflow integration, and competitive technologies.
  • Provide medical education to clinicians and train internal teams.
  • Capture field insights to inform strategic planning with Medical Affairs, Clinical, R&D, and Commercial teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally on payer education, FDA alignment, and biomarker strategy.
  • Support evidence generation (IIS, RWE, HEOR, workflow studies, publications) and collaborate on clinical protocols, site questions, and conference content.
  • Develop medical materials and review promotional content for compliance.
  • Contribute to strategic guidance on unmet needs and guideline evolution.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA) with oncology/lab expertise; 2+ years MSL or clinical/industry experience. Adaptability to fast-paced environments and evolving priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of cancer biology, screening principles, and diagnostic metrics (sensitivity, specificity, ROC/AUC, NPV/PPV), including ability to interpret clinical data and assay validation workflows.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; experience with healthcare systems; willingness to travel nationally.
  • Strong understanding with FDA diagnostic pathways, CLIA/CAP, and payer coverage frameworks.
  • Ability to support travel 25-75%, including occasional weekend travel.
