About the Role

Hybrid work preferred: A minimum of three (3) days per week in our Brooklyn Park, MN headquarters. MN‑based candidates should expect a hybrid schedule. The Director of Payer Relations is responsible for developing, strategizing and implementing all actions to obtain payer access, reimbursement and coverage for CVRx products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with local sales teams, key opinion leaders (KOLs), patient associations and health authorities to expand knowledge of and access to CVRx’s therapy solutions.
  • Drive incorporation of Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) value endpoints and evidence requirements of U.S. decision‑makers into global clinical development and market access strategies.
  • Lead development and execution of strategies to secure optimal reimbursement and coverage for CVRx’s products.
  • Suggest value propositions for market access and reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with reimbursement expert consultants and internal teams to develop and implement reimbursement strategy.
  • Monitor government, economic and technical changes across regions, understanding local pricing and coding challenges.
  • Work with KOLs and influencers to promote CVRx’s therapies and influence creation of new markets.
  • Develop economic models, manage HEOR projects with external consulting groups.
  • Develop and implement plans for ongoing regulatory and market intelligence.
  • Assist in developing educational and communication programs for patient identification, selection, enrollment and therapy acceptance.

Required Education / Training / Job‑Related Experience

  • Degree in marketing, economics, data sciences, communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Health Economics and Market Access, including Payer Relations and Reimbursement.
  • Demonstrable Payer Policy Development experience (with examples).
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry/system, reimbursement and hospital coding, regulatory and ethical guidelines for medical devices.
  • Strengths in developing reimbursement and regulatory strategies.
  • Experience in medical device innovative markets.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through proven market‑access skills and contacts.
  • Team player with strong cross‑functional partnering abilities.
  • Leadership experience and analytical skills at leadership level.
  • Strategic thinking, problem‑solving mindset and operational approach.
  • Data mining, statistics and analysis skills.
  • Experience obtaining coverage policies.
  • Ability to initiate pilot experiments as proof of concept.
  • Commitment to customer focus and brand reputation.
  • Resilience and determination.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the year nationally, including by air.
  • Valid air‑travel ID and reliable high‑speed internet at home for remote office.
  • Private office environment at home to support remote work.

Working Conditions and Required Physical Effort

  • Normal hybrid office conditions.
  • May be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 and other diseases.
  • Willingness to travel to conferences, hospitals and physician meetings as needed, up to 40% travel.

  • Competitive salary range for U.S. locations (USD): 178,000 – 135,000.
