Bryant Group is proud to continue its partnership with Belmont University in the search for an experienced and mission-driven development professional to serve as Director of National Development. Reporting to the AVP for Development, Colleges and Units, this role joins a team building community-wide momentum and preparing for the most ambitious fundraising campaign in Belmont’s history.
As a senior frontline fundraiser, the Director of National Development will build and manage a nationwide portfolio of major gift prospects, with full ownership of strategy, pacing and outcomes as they cultivate, solicit and steward philanthropic investment for Belmont. Serving as a key fundraiser for the university’s comprehensive campaign, this leader will increase donor engagement to secure gifts in the $50,000–$500,000+ range, travel regularly to meet supporters in key regions across the U.S. and consistently document and communicate visit outcomes, next steps and cross-team coordination that moves donors through the giving cycle.
The ideal candidate brings three or more years of experience in development, alumni relations or a related field (higher education preferred), along with strong judgment, communication skills and comfort operating in a metrics- and forecasting-driven environment. The role requires extensive travel and occasional evening/weekend work and Belmont offers a robust rewards package including flexible/remote options, generous time off, parental leave and tuition benefits.
