Technical UI/UX Artist (Welding Equipment and EV DC Fast Chargers) Type: FTE, Salaried Exempt Location: Cleveland, OH - Hybrid Onsite

We are seeking a talented and versatile Technical Artist to join our team, responsible for designing and maintaining user interfaces for welding equipment, DC fast chargers, and adjacent software applications using Figma. As a Technical Artist, you will work closely with the software development team that utilizes Qt, QML, React, and other UI frameworks, ensuring seamless integration of your designs into cutting-edge equipment and software applications.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize Figma to create visually appealing and functional user interfaces for welding equipment, DC fast chargers, and adjacent software applications considering UX and graphic design principles.

- Lead UI/UX workstreams or major design efforts; own ongoing evolution of design systems and patterns

- Continuously maintain and update existing designs to improve user experiences and accommodate evolving project requirements.

- Possess knowledge of various front end software development approaches, such as HTML/CSS, QML, React, Vue, Angular, etc., to understand technical constraints and collaborate effectively with the development team.

- Work closely with the firmware and software development teams to hand off designs and ensure seamless integration into equipment and software applications.

- Prepare comprehensive design documentation and guidelines to facilitate the implementation process and maintain design consistency.

- Employ a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving, finding innovative solutions to design challenges that arise during the development process.

- Have proficiency in at least one front end development language (e.g., QML, HTML/CSS, React, Vue, Angular) to provide insights and technical expertise during the development phase.

- Work independently with minimal guidance, owning UI/UX deliverables from concept through

handoff.

Requirements:

- In-depth expertise in UI/UX design with working knowledge of related areas such as front-end development, embedded UI pipelines, and design-to-implementation workflows.

- Proven experience using Figma to design user interfaces and prototypes, with an exceptional eye for design aesthetics.

- Solid understanding of front-end development approaches and the ability to collaborate effectively with software developers.

- Possess a strong grasp of user experience principles and graphic design fundamentals to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Understanding of technical constraints and considerations during the design process.

- Familiarity with Qt Design Studio is a plus, and knowledge of QML is preferred but not mandatory. - A portfolio showcasing your design work and any relevant front end development projects
