Summary:

The Senior Digital Strategist is responsible for optimizing the performance of our digital channel mix, build measurable business growth, and improve the customer experience. Working collaboratively with colleagues within Penn Medicine's marketing department, business development, and clinical management teams, the Senior Digital Strategist uses their experience and leadership skills to build strategic partnerships, assist in the development of digital marketing plans, and foster a data-driven and outcomes-focused digital marketing practice. Specifically, the Senior Digital Strategist will help develop digital content marketing and campaign strategies working across paid, owned, and earned digital channels.A candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of best practices in SEO, SEM, inbound marketing, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and conversion rate optimization across web, voice, and mobile platforms. To be successful in this role, an ideal candidate will have successfully implemented and scaled high-performing digital marketing campaigns. The position reports to the Associate Director of Digital Channel Strategy.

Responsibilities:

Guide the creation of integrated digital experiences to drive awareness and demand along the patient journey.

Consult with marketing colleagues and external agencies in planning, developing, and implementing cost-effective digital marketing strategies that will have an impact on business growth, brand perception, and customer experience.

Analyze digital marketing and behavioral data to recommend actions to optimize tactics, marketing mix, and performance.

Support the creation of personas and patient journeys across digital touchpoints including email marketing and nurture campaigns. Lead digital marketing planning and performance reviews Continuously improve processes related to the planning, implementation, and optimization of digital marketing.Management:

Oversight of operational budget of over $50,000 - ensuring that external vendors and contractors produce solutions that meet Penn Medicine's standards at a rate that conforms to industry norms.

Partner with team leadership with the creation of an annual work plan, setting performance goals, and priorities. Be skilled at communicating division priorities and progress to senior staff.

Work with subject matter experts to document new work, help estimate budgets, and liaise with the appropriate web team members and vendor partners to document requirements.Professional Development:

Stays abreast of health care, marketing, and technology-related issues to serve as a knowledgeable leader and system resource.

Maintain skill levels in technology tools required to perform job requirements.

Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

Bachelor's degree. (Required)

8+ years of working in related field. (Required)

5+ years of experience in digital marketing spanning paid, owned, and earned channels, such as digital strategy, content marketing, social media marketing, search engine marketing, web/inbound marketing, email marketing. (Required)

Previous experience in a healthcare organization. (Preferred)
