Consumer Loan Funding Specialist
The Consumer Loan Funding Specialist is responsible for the preparation of documents, funding, and maintenance of Consumer Loan applications in compliance with applicable Federal, State and NCUA rules and regulations. Maintains loan quality and ensures that loan packages are completely and accurately executed prior to loan funding. These loans may include indirect and direct auto loans, Auto Buying Service loans, as well as other consumer loan types. Will work closely with automobile dealerships, branch staff, and loan call center staff to ensure loans are processed and funded efficiently and within established guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures. Confirm and verify the appropriate documents are assembled in loan files for proper vesting, collateral descriptions and contract signatures. Ensure accurate data input in related information systems. Ensure timely receipt and proper completion of all outstanding loan stipulations in accordance with established procedures and loans are closed within appropriate time frames. Provide and communicate file status as well as clear and concise instructions as to necessary documentation required for funding. Receive and audit appropriate paperwork sent from the vehicle dealerships. Research and identify missing information and communicate discrepancies with dealership personnel. Perform verifications on application data to ensure accuracy prior to funding. Fund appropriate monies to dealerships with the appropriate administrative fee. Prioritize workload to manage timely loan fundings and track files. Maintain communication with internal staff, dealerships, and contractors. Keep current with knowledge of credit union's lending updates, criteria, guidelines, and procedures, policies, and processes. Ensure loan documentation is complete and accurate according to credit union policy requirements, lending guidelines and compliance regulations. Provide funding support to Member Solutions Center, Branches, Employee Loans and Dealer Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree in business or related field preferred. Minimum two years of financial industry experience with one year of lending experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of California and out of state DMV Policy and Procedures Demonstrated computer, Microsoft Office skills Proficient mathematical and analytical skills Organizational skills sufficient to prioritize, manage workflow processes, and meet deadlines Effective human relations and professional communication skills Ability to work in fast-paced, high intensity environment Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all groups of people Salary Range: $24.46 - $36.69 Service Excellence Standards
