Position: Salesforce Technical Architect
Salary: $85-$115/Hr

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to play a critical role in large-scale Salesforce transformation initiatives within the public sector. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with state stakeholders, Salesforce leadership, consulting partners, and internal product teams to design, validate, and guide future-state Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities of the Salesforce Technical Architect:

  • Participate in discovery-phase engagements, actively listening to business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and define the future-state data model.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify and validate key use cases the Salesforce platform must address.
  • Design and build proofs of concept (POCs) in Salesforce Sandbox environments following discovery.
  • Advise public-sector stakeholders on best-practice Salesforce solutions that align with policy, compliance, and citizen outcomes.
  • Define and evaluate authentication and identity management approaches.
  • Support and review solution designs developed by consulting partners, providing technical oversight and recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Senior Business Architect and Salesforce product teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical architecture.
  • Guide and validate integrations across Salesforce clouds using middleware and integration tools.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and data privacy standards, particularly in regulated public-sector environments.
  • Contribute to reporting and executive updates, including Google Slides presentations.
  • Produce and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Experience of the Salesforce Technical Architect:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Salesforce Technical Architect role.
  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale Salesforce transformation projects.
  • Strong expertise across Salesforce Clouds, including:
    • Experience Cloud
    • Sales Cloud
    • Service Cloud
  • Experience with integrations and middleware tools.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security architecture, compliance frameworks, and data privacy principles.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and comfort advising senior leaders and government stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including working alongside Salesforce employees, system integrators, and internal product teams.
