
Powder Coat Painter

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coat Painters to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience applying industrial or marine-grade coatings to metal components and will take pride in producing high-quality finishes that meet exact technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate powder coating equipment in accordance with OEM instructions and safety standards
- Prepare and coat parts to specified mil thickness and finish requirements
- Inspect and maintain coating equipment, applicator guns, air compressors, and ovens
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule preventive maintenance
- Monitor gauges, control panels, and booth operations to ensure consistent coating quality
- Communicate operational status, issues, and improvement ideas to supervisors
- Assist in other production-related duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Coatings Supervisor
- Follow proper surface preparation and finishing techniques to meet Navy, shipyard, and customer standards.
- Comply with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:
- Must pass an in-person powder coat performance test
- Proven experience powder coating in an industrial or maritime environment
- Strong understanding of powder coating techniques, materials, and application methods
- Ability to read and interpret line drawings, specifications, and technical work orders
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred / Plus Qualifications
- Active DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) card.
- Certifications such as NBPI (NACE/AMPP Certified), SSPC/AMPP, OSHA-10/30, or other industry-recognized credentials
