Traffic Control Specialist
Perform tasks related to traffic control operations related to the parking lots, usually during events. Responsible for implementing traffic control operations and ensuring the signs and pay stations work. May clean sites and remove waste materials. Will work near traffic and interact regularly with the public. Competitive Pay/Wages: $20.00/hour; non-tipped Location: Denver, Colorado Schedule: Part-time varies Monday through Sunday for ALL of the Rockies Home Games and some other concerts that Coors Field host Posting Duration: Continuous Essential Functions Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules on all work zones and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular and pedestrian traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment. Maintain a clean job site by picking up all trash and obstacles preventing vehicles from parking in the lot. Load and unload vehicles containing equipment(cones/signs/barricades) for job. Ensure tasks are completed according to all applicable company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Supervisor or Manager. Must be able to perform all the following: stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend at the waist, grasp, and hold various tools and objects with both hands. Must be able to perform for extended periods near moving traffic and outside conditions, including inclement weather, cold and wind, heat and humidity, and possible exposure to dust and asphalt. Answer questions regarding parking and payment issues. Assist parkers in correctly lining up their vehicles within the designated lines. Experience Strong customer service experience required. Cash handling/credit card transaction experience is required. Skills Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations. Ability to handle challenging and, at times, emotionally charged situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Physical Demands Willingness to work in the elements
heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
