RTE Packaging Lead

Paradise Locker Meats (PLM) is a growing, family-owned meat processing company serving the Kansas City area and top restaurants and retailers nationwide. We operate in a demanding environment with high standards. When the Friday truck leaves, everything must be accurate, labeled correctly, and accounted for. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will: Work in the Ready To Eat (RTE) Packaging area daily Package and label product Lead and organize the RTE packaging team Ensure quality, food safety, and accuracy Keep the area on pace and on standard Important: New hires should expect to begin as an RTE Packaging Team Member to learn our standards, systems, and culture before stepping into the Lead seat. Advancement is based on performance and demonstrated leadership. What You Are Accountable For

1. Daily Execution

Organize and perform RTE packaging activities Ensure all orders match cut sheets/work orders Check and verify label accuracy Hit daily shipment deadlines 2. Quality & Food Safety

Maintain strict food safety standards Prevent labeling errors Protect product integrity Address issues immediately, effectively, and proactively 3. Team Leadership (While Working)

Lead by example on the floor Train new team members Reinforce standards Maintain a focused, positive work environment Manage overtime within guidelines 4. Cross-Department Coordination

Communicate clearly with Sausage/Grind/Cure and Shipping departments Assist other departments when needed Identify and address issues immediately What Winning Looks Like: Orders ship complete and correct RTE errors are rare The team knows the plan every day Overtime is controlled The RTE area is organized and efficient Problems get solved, not repeated Work Environment

You must be comfortable with: Standing up to 10 hours per shift Cold temperatures Exposure to fully cooked, heat treated, and raw meat products Moisture and machine noise Lifting up to 50lbs frequently Fast-paced physical production work Skills & Experience
