Salary Range: $55 - $60/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)
Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled consultant with extensive experience in API management and integration architecture to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Google Apigee platforms and a deep understanding of API design principles and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications 15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in API management and integration architecture. Strong hands-on expertise in Google Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, or X) platform setup, design, and administration. Deep understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), microservices, and event-driven architecture. Expertise in security standards - OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, TLS, API Keys, threat protection. Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure is a plus). Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Prior work experience at client or in client's industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Familiarity with Apigee Analytics, Stackdriver, or equivalent monitoring tools. Experience in API-first integration strategies. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Define and implement API management strategy leveraging Google Apigee (Edge/Hybrid/X). Architect API proxies, policies, and security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML. Lead API lifecycle management: design, governance, deployment, versioning, and retirement. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to design API-first integration strategies. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of API platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Provide leadership and mentorship to development teams in API design, microservices integration, and CI/CD practices. Evaluate new technologies, industry trends, and recommend improvements to API platforms. Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize APIs, and ensure robust monitoring. Work with security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory standards. Company Benefits & Culture
