Description Of Work The Multimedia Content Specialist is responsible for creating compelling visual and audio content that highlights the operations, staff, programs and events of the NC Department of Adult Correction. This role supports the agency’s communication efforts through high-quality video, photography, and podcast production, while collaborating with the team to develop creative strategies for sharing key messages with internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities Producing, filming, and editing video content showcasing departmental operations, initiatives, and personnel.
Capturing and editing high-quality still photography, including staff portraits and event images.
Recording, producing, and editing podcasts to support agency storytelling and communication.
Collaborating with the communications team to develop creative methods for delivering agency messaging.
Maintaining an organized and accessible digital archive of photos, videos, and multimedia assets.
Serving as a backup to the agency’s Digital Media Specialist when needed.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities / Management Preferences Salary Grade Range: $43,267.00 - $75,718.00 Annually
The KSAs/Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Experience to produce professional-quality photo, video, and audio content using strong composition, lighting, and sound techniques.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for editing and delivering multimedia projects.
Knowledge of end-to-end production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
Familiarity with modern photography, video, sound, and lighting equipment.
Strong organizational skills to manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain an orderly digital archive.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
