VISUAL STORYTELLER - PHOTOGRAPHY
Join us in our mission to provide life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities! The Visual Storyteller captures the vibrant, authentic moments of camp life through photography. This role focuses on visual storytelling creating engaging images that highlight the experiences of campers, staff, and programs for marketing, communications, and promotional use. If you have a creative wye, love working in dynamic outdoor settings, and enjoy documenting meaningful experiences, this role is for you. Schedule: Seasonal, Early June - Mid August 2026
Locations: Annandale, Maple Lake, and Eden Prairie, MN
Pay: $15.57
What You'll Do
Identify unique opportunities to photograph campers, staff, and scenic camp settings in indoor and outdoor environments
Capture both posed and candid photographs to support marketing publications, social media, and communications
Edit, label, and catalog photos for use across digital and print platforms
Coordinate with summer camp staff to photograph weekly cabin activities and program highlights
Collaborate with departmental staff to fulfill photography needs across the organization
Contribute creative ideas for visual storytelling and seasonal campaigns
Support special projects
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring to the Table
Pursuing or holding a degree in Visual Arts, Photography, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of photography and photo editing experience (professional, educational, or personal portfolio experience considered)
Experience with outdoor and action photography, including working in bright sunlight
Proficiency with photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom experience is a plus)
Ability to manage your own schedule, meet deadlines, and take direction and feedback from leadership
Team player who can also work independently
Initiative, adaptability and a strong work ethic
Passion for making a difference in the lives of campers and staff
Comfortable working in a communal, camp-style environment

Work in both office and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions such as sun, rain, or heat
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or navigate uneven terrain as needed to capture content or support programs
Lift, carry, and transport equipment, props, or supplies as required
Move quickly to capture activities or assist with tasks throughout program areas
Maintain focus and attention to details while on your feet for extended periods
Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, and software tools relevant to the role
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
