JOB DESCRIPTION Operates day-to-day account work independently or with report
Strong leadership presence in account work--proactive and strategic media relations for clients, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy
Update media lists and secure new reporters and publications to add
Effectively pitch by phone as well as email, securing strategic and targeted top-tier placements with ease
Bring media leads into the firm
Conduct research, trendand competitor analysis, as needed
Monitor media for clients
Ability to edit report’s writing efficiently and in AP style
Draft press releases and pitches and other written materials that need no edits
Draft trend story ideas for clients and writes strong pitches
Send emails quickly and efficiently
Supervise one to two direct reports, answer questions and edit work
Leading presence on client-facing account interaction
Lead client meetings ensuring meeting materials are prepared, available and organized, and ability to advise clients on the spot
Supervise junior staff for media monitoring, and ensuring client clips are sent on time for digital and print press placements
Organized and on top of the to-do list, meets and manages deadlines
PR and social media ideas for Relevance New York (treating us like a client)
Reads industry and consumer publications we pitch
Keeps drive and all digital assets organized and neat

Commits to 5 days per week and hours sufficient to cover responsibilities to clients and team.
Workday begins at 9 am Monday through Friday.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED Bachelor Degree – Public Relations, Communications or Related Degree
SALARY Salary range: $80k-$100k per year, based on experience
