Get a closer look at what we offer UX / Product Designer Contract Washington DC Ref #: 49842 Industry: Real Estate Our Client is seeking a Mid to Senior UX / Product Designer to join a growing digital product team supporting a portfolio of complex web and application experiences. This role requires someone who can work semi-independently, partner closely with product and engineering stakeholders, and help shape user-centered solutions across multiple digital products. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, bringing strong UX thinking, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective product experiences. You Will: Lead UX and product design initiatives across multiple digital products from discovery through delivery. Partner closely with Product Managers and engineering teams in an agile environment to translate requirements into clear user experiences. Design user-centered flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces that align with established design systems. Use Figma to create, maintain, and evolve product design assets and components within a shared design system. Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate design rationale clearly across product, engineering, and business teams. Identify gaps in product requirements and proactively advocate for user research or additional discovery when needed. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure design solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility. Contribute to roadmap discussions and product prioritization by connecting user needs with business objectives. Conduct or support UX research activities such as usability testing, generative interviews, or validation studies. Analyze product analytics and behavioral data to identify usability issues and measure the impact of design improvements. Facilitate design thinking sessions or ideation workshops to help teams explore solutions and align on product direction. Support iterative product development cycles through close collaboration with engineering teams and agile ceremonies. You Have: Experience leading UX or product design projects in an agile product development environment. Strong UX problem-solving skills with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Proficiency designing in Figma and working within a structured design system. Experience delivering both UX strategy and polished UI design across digital products or applications. Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to manage priorities independently. Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. Ability to translate complex product requirements into intuitive user experiences. Experience running or supporting moderated UX research such as user interviews or usability testing. Familiarity with product development tools such as Jira or similar agile workflow systems. Understanding of product analytics tools or behavioral data platforms used to evaluate user experience performance. Experience contributing to design thinking exercises, product discovery, or collaborative ideation sessions. A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem solving, clear process explanation, and measurable product impact.
