CATERING SALES MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating and growing catering and group dining sales across Finney Hospitality Group concepts. This role is focused entirely on business development, lead generation, and client relationship management. The Catering Sales Manager drives new revenue by proactively identifying opportunities, building relationships with corporate and community partners, and converting inquiries into booked catering and event business. This role does not execute events or manage on-site catering operations. Instead, the Catering Sales Manager works closely with restaurant leadership and operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff once events are booked. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, new client acquisition, and repeat catering business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Proactively identify and pursue new catering and group dining opportunities within assigned markets. Develop relationships with corporate offices, universities, medical offices, community organizations, and local businesses. Generate new leads through networking, outreach, local events, and community engagement. Maintain an active pipeline of potential catering and event clients. Meet or exceed monthly and annual catering sales targets. LEAD MANAGEMENT
Respond quickly and professionally to catering and event inquiries. Qualify leads and guide clients through menu options, pricing, and booking details. Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts for catering and event opportunities. Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and bookings. CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Build strong relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business. Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the sales process. Conduct follow-up outreach after events to strengthen relationships and secure future bookings. COLLABORATION WITH RESTAURANT TEAMS
Communicate confirmed bookings clearly to restaurant leadership and operations teams. Ensure all event details are documented and properly transferred to the operations team. Partner with marketing and leadership to identify promotional opportunities for catering growth. SALES STRATEGY & GROWTH
Identify trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships that drive catering revenue. Track sales activity, conversion rates, and revenue performance. Provide recommendations to leadership on strategies to increase catering and event sales. QUALIFICATIONS
2–4+ years of experience in sales, hospitality sales, catering sales, or event sales preferred. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail. Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently to generate new business. Familiarity with the local business community is a plus. Compensation: $50-55k + uncapped sales commission
