Piper Companies is seeking a Director – Operations
to join a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization located in
Audubon, PA . This is a full‑time, onsite leadership opportunity within a cGMP production environment. The Director – Operations will oversee all packaging, maintenance, warehousing, and logistics functions at the Audubon facility, ensuring compliant, efficient, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products while driving continuous improvement and supporting global operational initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Director – Operations:
Lead safe, compliant, and efficient packaging operations for pharmaceutical dosage forms, including
primary and secondary packaging ,
controlled substances , and
temperature‑sensitive products .
Oversee all
logistics and warehousing
functions across the Audubon site and off‑site storage locations.
Execute production schedules in a
professional, efficient, and cGMP‑compliant
manner to maintain strong client confidence.
Provide strong leadership to motivate and inspire operations teams to achieve high standards of quality, compliance, and performance.
Serve as a key member of the
Audubon Site Leadership Team , supporting both site‑level and global initiatives.
Collaborate closely with global Almac counterparts to ensure consistency, alignment, and best‑practice sharing across teams.
Oversee
Business Projects , including
Operational Excellence (OPEX)
initiatives and
ERP implementation
for the Audubon operation.
Champion process improvements, efficiency gains, and continuous improvement/OEE programs across packaging and production operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations, including FDA requirements, audits, and internal quality standards.
Maintain strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration across production, quality, engineering, and global operations teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational and organizational goals.
Qualifications / Requirements for the Director – Operations:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline
10+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
10+ years of production/manufacturing experience
Proven success implementing
continuous improvement/OEE
practices
Strong leadership and change‑management capabilities
Highly commercial mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing operational needs
Experience interacting with regulatory bodies, including the
FDA
Compensation for the Director – Operations:
Full‑time, onsite role in
Audubon, PA
Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision (effective 1st of the month following start date)
