
Strategic Program Director

The Strategy and Execution team is responsible for defining and articulating the Chief Data Office vision and strategy, and executing on strategic initiatives to deliver on the Chief Data Office roadmap. The team leads strategic projects that enable Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions with the tools and solutions to achieve AI-ready data, and effectively and efficiently manage data and privacy risk.
As a Strategic Program Director within the Firmwide Chief Data Office, you will be responsible for program managing transformation initiatives that deliver new and enhanced products, solutions, operating models and processes aligned to data across the Firm. You will program manage large strategic change initiatives from initiation through to completion, including program planning, requirements analysis, co‑ordination with Product and Technology teams, as well as firmwide groups, for design, development, testing, and implementation, managing transition / go‑live phases.
Job Responsibilities
Lead strategic change initiatives end-to-end from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Gather, synthesise and prioritise requirements from Lines of Businesses, Corporate Functions and firmwide stakeholders
Partner with Product and Technology teams, along with firmwide groups, to oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of initiatives, managing all phases of execution and transition/go‑live.
Develop business cases for strategic programs and acquire the necessary funding to deliver the roadmap
Communicate the strategic roadmap and priorities to key stakeholders and senior management
Establish governance frameworks to oversee delivery of the strategic roadmap, ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment, and deliver status updates
Program manage large cross‑functional teams across the firm and drive accountability with Lines of Businesses, Corporate Functions and firmwide stakeholders to deliver expected outcomes
Identify potential roadblocks/emerging risks and elevate issues as needed
Design program success measures and metrics aligned to organizational goals, and communicate progress and related reporting to senior executives
Develop and maintain deep relationships with stakeholders across lines of businesses and functional areas
Lead high performing strategic execution teams and effectively drive the team towards delivery milestones and coach other team members and contribute to the wider group’s objectives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
10+ years of industry experience and BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/ Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Data Science or other related area.
Experience managing strategic or transformational change, or product development
Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals
Ability to build consensus and progress initiatives in a highly collaborative, cross‑functional and matrixed environment
Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of functions
Excellent leadership skills – of programs, projects, teams and/or employees and strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas and challenges in a succinct way
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A strong data, analytics or product background is important
Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred
MBA and/or advanced degree from a top‑tier program
Lead design workshops and brainstorming sessions – comfortable with public speaking
