The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven regional director of sales to lead CHRUSA's national sales strategy and drive sustained revenue growth. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the DORS will be responsible for building and scaling a high-performance sales organization, developing strategic partnerships, and positioning CHRUSA as the employer services partner of choice for small to mid-size businesses.
This is a senior leadership role for a proven closer and team builder who thrives in a relationship-driven, consultative sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with CHRUSA's growth objectives
Lead, recruit, mentor, and retain a team of regional sales directors and business development professionals
Own revenue targets across all service lines, including HR support, payroll and tax services, workers' compensation, group health benefits, 401(k)/529 savings plans, and time & attendance solutions
Build and maintain C-suite relationships with prospective and existing clients across key markets
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and client services to ensure a seamless sales-to-onboarding experience
Establish KPIs, sales forecasting cadences, and pipeline management protocols using CRM platforms
Represent CHRUSA at industry events, conferences, and in strategic partnership discussions
Monitor competitive landscape and provide market intelligence to inform product positioning and pricing strategy
Partner with marketing to drive demand generation, brand visibility, and thought leadership
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years in HR services, PEO, ASO, payroll, or related B2B services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Experience building and managing distributed sales teams
Strong understanding of HR compliance, payroll, and employee benefits landscapes
Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive-level relationship skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into executable plans
Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
