RT 12 Pickle – Director of Pickleball Operations Overview The Director of Pickleball Operations will be responsible for overseeing all operational processes at the club. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with successful experience in hospitality, sports management, and/or operations management, along with a passion for pickleball. Experience with pickleball back office operations and software will be a plus.

Responsibilities Oversee daily pickleball operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows:

Manager of all Rt 12 staff, including part-time front desk staff, overseeing scheduling, training, and optimizing each team member’s skill set

Oversight of Social Media and Market Communications Manager activities

Collaborate with the RT. 12 Pickle’s management team (CEO/owner and CFO) to lead and facilitate the club’s key initiatives and activities.

Plan and facilitate club events, including leagues, tournaments, Round robins, and other club social or competitive activities

Manage and optimize club resources to cultivate a community-focused club and optimize each member’s experience.

Delegate, oversee, and lead all club operations and member engagement.

Monitor and oversee club appearance, including a clean, friendly, and well-maintained environment.

Identify areas for Club process improvement and recommend and implement solutions.

Oversee and delegate as appropriate the procurement of all building supplies, including but not limited to refreshments, paper goods, office supplies, and cleaning supplies.

Manage selected vendor relationships, working directly with the CEO and CFO.

Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications/Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 1 – 3 years of management experience within the fitness, athletic facility, hospitality, or retail environment. Pickleball or tennis club operational experience is a huge plus.

Passion for the sport of pickleball and knowledge of the game as a player and/or sports fan.

Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with detailed orientation and proven ability to follow through

Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

Ability to quickly learn and work with a variety of operational software systems, including but not limited to Patch, Play by Point, SWISH, Team Reach, and DUPR

Experience working with Microsoft and Google Workspace products, including spreadsheets for reporting and technology for virtual meetings.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous standing and walking during events

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.

Movement, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks.

Schedule:

Flexibility to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends according to the needs of the business.

Free pickleball unlimited membership

Free pickleball play is dependent on court availability

Time off, holidays, etc

Medical insurance – will be provided if needed. The employee will contribute to the cost of the policy.

Compensation:

$70,000 annual salary with the opportunity for additional incentive compensation to be earned based on club performance.
