With 5 production sites worldwide and additional locations in key markets, Westfalia-Automotive Group and its 1,800 employees provide outstanding solutions tailored to individual customer requirements.
We are currently looking for a Director of Purchasing / Head of Purchasing (m/f/d) to join Westfalia-Automotive Group's purchasing department as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for strategic and operational purchasing for the entire group of companies
Leadership and further development of the international purchasing team
Development and implementation of a purchasing strategy taking into account cost, quality, and delivery performance
Selection, evaluation, management, and development of suppliers in line with the requirements of IATF, TISAX, and relevant ISO standards
Management of material costs as well as development of sustainable and resilient supply chains
Contract and price negotiations with national and international suppliers
Close collaboration with production sites, engineering, quality, and logistics
Initiation and implementation of cost-reduction programs and make-or-buy analyses
Development and monitoring of relevant purchasing KPIs
Risk management in the global procurement process, including supplier risk analyses
Process responsibility for all procedures and workflows within the area of responsibility, including ensuring audit compliance and adherence to the requirements of the integrated management system and area-specific standards
Regular reporting to Senior Management
Profile
Successfully completed academic degree in engineering or business administration with relevance to the area of responsibility
Several years of professional experience in a leadership role in strategic purchasing within the automotive supply industry
Experience with international suppliers and global markets
Knowledge of the standards IATF, TISAX, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
Proven strategic mindset and analytical skills with a strong cost awareness
Confident manner in contract and price negotiations
Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and intercultural competence
