The Opportunity
FAMP is entering a new chapter and seeks a bold, growth-oriented and operationally strong Executive Director to expand membership, increase revenue, strengthen advocacy, and elevate FAMP’s industry influence across the State of Florida.
This role requires both strategic vision and operational discipline. The right candidate should be comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves while building scalable systems for long-term growth.
The Executive Director will successfully:
Drive measurable membership and revenue growth;
Strengthen sponsorship and industry partnerships;
Increase member engagement;
Elevate FAMP’s value proposition across the State of Florida;
Expand educational programming and improve event profitability;
Lead advocacy efforts in coordination with FAMP’s volunteer leadership & outside lobbyist; and
Ensure operational excellence in a lean organizational structure.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Revenue Leadership
Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy.
Drive sustained membership expansion across Florida.
Increase sponsorship revenue through stronger value propositions and structured partner programs.
Identify and launch or expand alternative revenue streams (education, digital programming, partnerships).
Strengthen local chapter and regional alignment and statewide cohesion.
Advocacy & Industry Positioning
Build relationships with state regulators, legislators, and key industry stakeholders.
Co-lead coordinated advocacy efforts with FAMP’s outside lobbyist, at the direction of the Board.
Amplify FAMP’s influence in regulatory and policy conversations and effectively communicate FAMP’s policy positions and initiatives to members and industry partners.
Operational & Financial Leadership
Own the Association’s budget, financial discipline, and revenue forecasting.
Manage vendors, consultants, and outsourced service providers.
Oversee the FAMP’s NMLS Continuing Education Provider status and compliance, as well as development and delivery of NMLS-approved courses.
Ensure high-quality execution of the Annual Convention, Quarterly Meetings, and Lobby Days.
Implement systems that increase efficiency and reduce operational friction.
Board & Governance Partnership
Serve as chief executive partner to the Executive Committee & Board of Directors.
Translate strategic priorities into executable plans.
Provide data-driven reporting and performance transparency.
Foster accountability across committees, chapters and regions.

Diversified and growing revenue beyond member dues.
Increased sponsor retention and satisfaction.
Recognized voice in Florida mortgage regulatory matters.

Ideal Candidate Profile FAMP seeks an organization builder. You may come from a background in association leadership, financial services, mortgage, or another industry — but you must demonstrate:
Proven revenue growth experience;
Experience scaling organizations or business units;
Comfort operating with limited staff and high accountability;
Strong board management and volunteer leadership skills;
Strategic thinking paired with execution discipline; and
Political awareness and confidence dealing with regulators, legislators, business owners and executives and the general public.
Mortgage industry experience is a plus but not required for the right growth leader.
