Position Overview The

Director of Business Development

will lead the growth and management of key strategic accounts, expanding partnerships across new markets and therapeutic areas. This role works closely with executive leadership to evaluate opportunities, drive revenue strategy, and strengthen long‑term client relationships.

This position requires a strong executive presence, consultative sales approach, and the ability to engage with decision‑makers across pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve annual sales and revenue targets through strategic partnerships within the clinical research and trial services space

Expand existing sponsor and CRO relationships by identifying new study opportunities, therapeutic areas, and geographic growth areas

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical operations and executive leadership

Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with client pipelines and organizational capabilities

Lead client presentations and proposals, positioning multi‑site clinical research solutions and enrollment strengths

Manage business development pipeline, forecasting, and cross‑functional coordination to secure new studies

Identify cross‑selling opportunities and drive long‑term client retention and growth

Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to senior leadership

Travel up to 25% for client meetings, conferences, and site visits

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field preferred

Minimum of 5+ years of business development or sales experience within clinical research, including site networks or CRO services

Proven experience selling to pharmaceutical and biotech clients, with exposure to mid‑level and executive stakeholders

Strong consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills

Demonstrated success in client retention, account growth, and new business acquisition

Ability to manage complex client relationships and navigate financial and operational discussions

Strong organizational and analytical skills
