Position Summary The After-School Program Director provides strategic leadership, oversight, and management of the district's 21st CCLC program. The Director ensures full grant compliance, high-quality programming, strong alignment with the school day, and measurable academic and youth development outcomes. This role serves as liaison among school administration, staff, families, community partners, and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction for all 21st CCLC program operations.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state grant requirements, including program hours, staffing ratios, transportation, meals, emergency preparedness, and required documentation.
Coordinate and prepare for monitoring visits, audits, and compliance reviews.
Collaborate with Grant Management to submit all required applications, amendments, continuation documents, and reports to ODEW.
Maintain accurate and timely data collection and reporting systems.
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQIP)
Lead the 21st CCLC Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
Collect, analyze, and interpret academic, behavioral, and participation data to inform decision-making.
Present findings to stakeholders and develop targeted action plans to improve program effectiveness.
School-Day Alignment & Academic Support
Align after-school programming with school-day instruction and district goals.
Collaborate with building administrators and teachers to identify students' academic and behavioral needs.
Support Site Coordinators in developing evidence-based academic interventions and enrichment opportunities.
Ensure programming includes academic support, career exploration, youth development, and social-emotional learning.
Staff Supervision & Professional Development
Supervise Site Coordinators and program staff.
Facilitate regular staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
Participate in required professional development and technical assistance provided by ODEW.
Family & Community Engagement
Develop and implement meaningful family engagement and family literacy opportunities.
Oversee student recruitment and retention efforts.
Build and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations and local educational agencies.
Provide presentations to staff, families, community partners, and stakeholders to promote awareness and program sustainability.
Lead stakeholder meetings focused on data review, targeted interventions, and program planning.
Communication & Confidentiality
Serve as liaison between district leadership, families, staff, and community partners.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all student, staff, and program information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Educational Leadership, Youth Development, or related field preferred
Experience managing federally funded grant programs preferred.
Demonstrated experience in program development, staff supervision, and data analysis.Knowledge of evidence-based academic interventions and youth development frameworks.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Must be cleared through BCI/FBI Check
Physical Requirements
Ability to move throughout school facilities.
Occasional evening attendance at family or community events.
Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with district policy and 21st CCLC grant performance indicators.
