Position Summary The Spa Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Valmont Spa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and team leadership. This hands‑on role focuses on service excellence, staff development, revenue growth, and maintaining the luxury standards expected at The Setai. The Spa Director works closely with the spa team, hotel leadership, and Valmont representatives to ensure treatments, retail offerings, and service protocols align with brand standards and guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities Spa Operations
Oversee daily spa operations including treatment services, reception, retail, and spa facilities
Ensure the spa consistently delivers Forbes Five‑Star service standards
Maintain a seamless and personalized guest experience from arrival through departure
Manage scheduling, inventory, and operational procedures
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and mentor therapists, spa attendants, and front desk staff
Conduct training and performance evaluations
Foster a positive, professional, and guest‑focused team culture
Guest Experience
Personally engage with guests to ensure exceptional service and resolve concerns when needed
Maintain high service standards and attention to detail throughout the spa experience
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary
Revenue & Retail
Drive revenue through treatment utilization, retail sales, and spa promotions
Partner with Valmont to ensure product knowledge and retail excellence
Monitor financial performance and labor costs
Brand & Standards
Ensure full compliance with Valmont Spa brand standards
Maintain the spa environment, cleanliness, and presentation at luxury hospitality levels
Collaborate with marketing and hotel leadership on spa promotions and guest experiences
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of spa management experience in a luxury hotel or resort spa
Experience working in a high‑end spa environment (luxury hospitality preferred)
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication abilities
Knowledge of spa operations, scheduling systems, and retail sales
Ability to maintain calm and professional leadership in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with luxury skincare brands (Valmont experience a plus)
Experience working in Forbes or luxury hotel environments
Background as a therapist or esthetician is a plus
