We are seeking a talented
Account Executive
to join our growing New York
Beauty
team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience working with top-tier beauty brands at a public relations agency.
General Requirements
Strong understanding of editorial calendars, current events, pop culture, and seasonal/celebrity trends, with the ability to proactively develop timely and strategic story angles that drive product placement and brand visibility across national, regional, online, trade, and broadcast outlets
Proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members, including Assistant Account Executives, Account Coordinators and interns
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, consistently meeting deadlines
Deep knowledge of media landscape, beauty editors, and the broader beauty industry
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently articulate ideas to clients and internal stakeholders
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong product knowledge within the beauty space preferred
Established relationships with beauty editors across luxury and lifestyle publications preferred
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Media Relations
Manage day-to-day media relations in partnership with junior team members
Support the development of overarching communications strategies
Secure print, online, and broadcast placements in alignment with client goals
Build and maintain relationships with mid-level media contacts
Contribute to strategic brainstorming and campaign development
Oversee beauty awards tracking and submissions
Events
Plan and execute PR events (product launches, editor meetings, Fashion Week activations, etc.)
Manage all event logistics, including media outreach, invitations, and guest list coordination
Oversee production of event materials (signage, gifting, collateral)
Develop client briefing documents and manage on-site execution
Host and engage media, influencers, and key stakeholders during events
Deliver post-event recaps with clear results and insights
Mailings & Product
Oversee organization and execution of product mailings
Maintain and update media, podcast, and newsletter lists
Develop creative, on-brand mailing strategies to maximize impact
Reporting & Insights
Manage monthly press tracking and oversee weekly/monthly reporting
Monitor competitor activity and share timely insights with clients
Operations & Team Support
Assist in managing budgets, including OOP and event spend
Oversee junior team members in:
Product orders and inventory management
Execution of seeding and gifting initiatives
Procurement of supplies and materials
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–3 years of relevant experience within a PR agency or in-house beauty team
Prior experience managing or mentoring junior staff
Strong interest in and passion for the beauty industry
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Proficiency in tools such as Muck Rack, Launchmetrics, and Lefty
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000.00- $65,000.00. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
This role will be hybrid, 3 days minimum in office.
