We are seeking a detail-oriented
Electrical BIM Modeler
to support our commercial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate 2D and 3D models using
AutoCAD
and
Revit , coordinating with project teams, and ensuring constructible, clash-free designs.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electrical systems and construction workflows, with the ability to translate design intent into precise, buildable models.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed electrical models using
AutoCAD
and
Revit
Develop layout drawings for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
Produce coordinated BIM models for commercial construction projects
Perform clash detection and coordination with other trades (mechanical, plumbing, structural)
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructability
Generate shop drawings, installation details, and as-built documentation
Maintain drawing standards, layering, and file organization
Update models based on RFIs, change orders, and field conditions
Assist in prefabrication planning and layout when applicable
Participate in coordination meetings and communicate design issues proactively
Requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
Experience in electrical modeling for commercial construction projects
Strong understanding of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, low voltage)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of BIM coordination processes and workflows
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
