ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Strategize, connect, and elevate. At Rebellion, our goal is for our Account Directors to be viewed by our clients as invaluable partners in their digital marketing journey. As a result, you will do more than traditional account management. As a leader of an account portfolio, you will be responsible for having a solid grasp of all of your portfolio's clients, their business, and their marketing goals, and ensuring that our work product is consistent with those goals. You will also, in conjunction with our Strategy team and subject matter experts, help to shape strategic initiatives that align with those goals. As the client’s key partner, you will keep up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, status of campaigns, and events that may affect their business and provide thoughtful insights.

What You’ll Do

Lead a team of account managers and a portfolio of accounts

Work with Rebel Project Managers and Project teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest quality and consistent with client’s direction and business goals, exceeding their expectations

Maintain client relationships through timely, consistent and clear communications regarding status of projects as well as trends and other events that may affect the client or their industry

Coordinate, prepare agendas for, participate in and document meetings with clients and internal Rebel teams

In collaboration with the Strategy team and Rebel subject matter experts, help inform the strategic direction for the account at both the outset of the relationship as well as throughout to adapt to a client’s changing needs

Analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, events, competitive landscape and client-specific challenges to inform strategic recommendations

Proactively facilitate high-level discussions with clients to anticipate their evolving needs and potential growth opportunities

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Rebel’s service offerings to offer clients solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall client experience and satisfaction

Utilize data insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance campaign effectiveness

Ensure proper management of client retainer hours and budgets

Ensure deliverables are consistent and with the client contract, and, in the event of changes to scope of an engagement, ensure proper approvals and documentation are obtained from the client

Job Requirements

At least 8 years of agency experience in either managing or executing the following types of digital marketing initiatives: content marketing, social media campaigns, SEO, paid search and paid media campaigns, website builds, video production, web design and email marketing

Highly-organized, detail-oriented

Able to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally in person, over the phone and in writing both with clients and internal teams

Able to multitask and effectively prioritize workload

Able to think and plan ahead (anticipate client needs before they arise and act on them)

Excellent listening skills and able to distill information quickly and translate into useful information for team members

Able to apply client feedback to projects to ensure we are meeting expectations and apply learnings from one project to future projects

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think strategically on behalf of clients

Strong experience with MS Office products, including Excel

Strong experience with Google Workspace

Experience with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio preferred

Experience with project management software preferred

Rebel offers a semi-hybrid work schedule, requiring at least 4 days per week in the Cheshire office, with one of those days being Wednesday

Occasional travel, including car visits to clients in NY, NJ, and MA (typically no more than 2x/month) and flight travel (typically only 1-2 days/quarter) may be required
