PALS, Inc. is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Program Director (PD) in the city of West Covina. The PD role is a supervisory position reporting to the agency leadership and serves as the primary leadership role at the program office. The PD supervises an excellent and diverse team of professionals who provide direct supports for adults with behavioral challenges, and restricted health conditions. PALS, Inc. is a trauma‑informed agency and serves adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The West Covina office provides specialized services and the Director will ensure that services are coordinated, that the person‑centered plans of the individuals are met, and that the professional staff is supervised with positive and clear communication.
The Program Director maintains a professional office and is responsible not only for the workforce and the care of the program participants, but also serves as a liaison with families, care providers, and outside agencies such as California Department of Social Services, and the Regional Center system. The successful candidate will be excited by the professional challenge of leading and developing a first‑class team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a preference for persons who have a graduate level background and/or who have a demonstrated history of being in a leadership and supervisory role over 10 or more people at a time; the candidate will also have exceptional leadership skills, experience working with teams, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be skilled at time management, and will be competent in essential Microsoft office applications.
This is a full‑time position for a skilled professional who will be the very first Director of this program. The hours of operation are Monday‑Friday between the hours of 8 AM – 4 PM. PALS offers a generous benefits and compensation package for the successful candidate.
