Responsibilities
Provide an industry‑leading client service experience both in person and on the phone through development and expansion of new and existing client relationships.
Deliver financial solutions that meet client needs based on consultative conversations, and refer to other business partners for additional growth opportunities.
Cross‑train to perform required teller duties as needed.
Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and advanced sales functions regarding deposits, credit, convenience, and other product and service lines.
Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services while developing, expanding, and retaining relationships.
Support the team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Commit to advancing individual knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge; attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web‑based learning.
Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed of all policy changes.
Ensure a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with smiling, courteous conversation during transactions.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education.
2+ years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check.
Ability to multi‑task under time constraints.
Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, with occasional travel and overnights.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, high‑level service attitude.
Experience discussing, recommending, and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
