Associate, Real Assets & Infrastructure Reports to : Managing Director, Real Assets & Infrastructure Position Summary:
Wafra is a New York City–based global investment firm with approximately $29 billion in assets under management. Wafra is seeking an Associate to join its Real Assets & Infrastructure team. The role will involve evaluating, executing, and managing control equity and structured capital investments across a broad range of sectors, including transportation, digital infrastructure, power & utilities, and other infrastructure‑related asset classes. The Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals across the platform and play a meaningful role throughout the investment lifecycle. Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate the merits and risks of investment opportunities across Wafra’s Real Assets and Infrastructure business Build and review detailed financial models and other qualitative and quantitative analyses to support investment underwriting and structuring decisions Conduct market, industry, competitive, and opportunity-specific research and diligence Assist in transaction execution, including investment structuring, coordination with legal and financial advisors, and review of transaction documentation Author investment memoranda and participate in presenting opportunities to the investment committee Monitor portfolio investments and support ongoing portfolio management, including analysis of operating performance, capital structure, and risk exposures and opportunities Support quarterly and ad hoc reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders Requirements:
Strong academic achievement from a top-tier undergraduate program 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, real assets, or related fields Demonstrated ability to perform high‑quality financial, analytical, and business analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting investment materials Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment High level of intellectual curiosity and interest in real assets and infrastructure investing
