This position will primarily be responsible for supporting an existing book of Energy Excess business with additional responsibility for business development in the region. Renewal retention, premium growth, brand awareness and product line knowledge will be the priorities, as the underwriter will work to further establish our presence in the Specialty Lines Excess arena and in the territory.
The Underwriter should be confident self-starters able to work in a dynamic and independent environment and possess the following strengths:
Minimum of 3-5 years of casualty insurance experience in specialty sectors and with other complex casualty risks.
Build relationships with retailers and wholesalers
Innovative, entrepreneurial and disciplined underwriting expertise
Support Underwriting Analysts responsibilities
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in computer applications: Excel and Word primarily
Domestic Light Travel
Training will be provided
