Personal Banker I (Las Colinas) The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers.
The role includes processing teller transactions, working as part of the platform staff, and helping customers understand and address their financial needs by providing solutions that span the customer's lifecycle using a consultative sales and service process.
Accountable for risk and for following policies and procedures, the banker consistently identifies, assesses, manages, monitors and reports risks of all types while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or via other appropriate channels.
Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customers’ needs are met and all problems are resolved.
Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
Provide customer support needed to reinforce the value of current and new technology.
Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected from every employee within the Bancorp.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
Exhibits business acumen.
Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions.
This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Working Conditions
Normal office environment.
Extending viewing of computer screens.
Compensation & Benefits The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S.
Individual salaries within this range will vary based on role, relevant skill set, relevant experience, education and geographic location.
In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
