Position Overview The
Commercial Analytics Manager
will partner closely with the Head of Commercial Operations to design and manage analytics, reporting, and performance measurement systems that support the company’s commercial strategy.
This role serves as a key analytics partner to sales, marketing, and leadership teams by transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. The position will play a critical role in evaluating business performance, identifying growth opportunities, optimizing field force effectiveness, and supporting forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Performance & Analytics
Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs, sales performance, and commercial operations metrics.
Analyze market trends, product performance, and patient dynamics to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Evaluate business performance including volume, market share, new patient starts, and other KPIs against forecasts and targets.
Sales & Field Force Optimization
Partner with Sales Leadership to optimize territory alignment, call planning, and customer targeting strategies.
Assess performance and activity trends at regional and sub-national levels to identify opportunities and improve field force effectiveness.
Data Insights & Strategic Support
Integrate internal KPIs with third-party market datasets (e.g., prescriber data, chargebacks, 867/852 data) to support performance monitoring and strategic decisions.
Support segmentation, targeting, and promotional effectiveness analysis using physician and account-level data.
Provide analytical insights to support commercial brand strategy and execution.
Business Planning & Reporting
Prepare and support
Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs)
for leadership, including KPI tracking, forecasting updates, and performance insights.
Assist with demand forecasting models in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Support the design of incentive compensation plans, including goal setting and attainment analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a data resource for field teams by addressing reporting requests and delivering actionable insights.
Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and operations teams to enhance reporting processes and data infrastructure.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Business, Analytics, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field
3–5 years of analytics experience
within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial data and third-party datasets such as
IQVIA, Symphony Health , or similar sources
Advanced
Microsoft Excel
skills and experience working with large datasets
Experience with
business intelligence tools
(Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.) preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for business stakeholders
