Position Overview The Junior Financial Advisor plays a critical support role for our advisory team, clients, and the overall firm. This position is designed to enhance the effectiveness of our client-facing advisors by owning key planning, analysis, and coordination responsibilities while also supporting essential business functions that keep the firm operating efficiently.
Acting as an extension of the advisory team, the Junior Financial Advisor is responsible for financial data gathering and analysis, financial planning software input, research on complex planning cases, and preparation of well-polished client-facing materials. This role also involves coordinating with internal team members and external professionals to ensure client plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Support the advisory team with preparation of accurate, professional documentation and presentation materials for prospect and client meetings
Review and verify meeting notes prepared by the Advisor and designated notetaker; coordinate and assign resulting action items to the appropriate team members through the firm’s contact management system
Complete assigned action items in accordance with firm processes and procedures
Coordinate financial plan development, including initial data entry, scenario analysis, and ongoing plan updates
Collaborate with the advisory team to support clients in establishing short-term and long-term financial goals, including retirement planning, investment growth, education funding, estate planning, tax optimization, and risk mitigation
Continuously monitor financial plans and client data, making updates as necessary to reflect changes in client circumstances or planning assumptions
Research & Case Support
Conduct research and analysis on investment products and planning strategies; evaluate potential solutions and present findings to the advisory team
Assist with evaluating clients’ current financial situations and needs related to insurance coverage, tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management, providing analysis and recommendations for advisor review
Research complex client situations, define appropriate resolution steps, and assist in setting client expectations in a timely and professional manner
Coordination & Operations
Continuously monitor client data across multiple platforms to ensure accuracy, consistency, and continuity
Work effectively with third-party professionals and service providers—including custodians, insurance companies, attorneys, accountants, and other financial services organizations to gather documentation, resolve discrepancies, and support client planning needs
Perform additional support duties as needed, such as assisting with paperwork processing, scheduling, and other client service-related tasks
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, financial planning, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting financial advisors in a wealth management or financial planning environment
Experience with industry-specific financial planning software, CRM systems, and related platforms
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused, detail-driven environment
Licensing & Professional Development
Series 65 preferred; or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Professional designations are not required, but we have a commitment to continuing education and professional development; the firm supports and pays for approved education, training, and credentialing programs
Preferred
Experience supporting complex planning cases involving investments, tax planning, insurance, and estate considerations
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an advisory team
