As a Housing Specialist I, you will be responsible for assisting clients participating in HASCO’s Housing Choice Voucher program and its various sub-programs. Part of this work will include processing Initial, Annual, and Interim reviews and will include providing excellent customer service to our clients as they navigate the requirements of the program. To thrive in this role, you’ll need skill in organizing and managing a significant flow of paperwork and research, along with the ability to establish and maintain necessary records and prepare clear and concise reports. You’ll need experience communicating with people (staff, clients, and others) in calm or potentially emotionally charged situations.

As a Housing Specialist I, you will learn how to process rent calculations and keep track of everything needed to ensure compliance with program requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, talk and/or hear. The employee will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

Work may be performed at the main office in Everett, WA, or from an outside location and will be in an indoor, office environment. Incumbent will be required to physically visit the office to perform duties with or for others on the team and needs to be located within Western WA. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate standard office equipment including computers, telephones, and related equipment.
