Overview SHRM’s paid internship program enables students toparticipatein valuable real-world work experience through a variety of tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team-specific projects, and tasks, andparticipatein professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers.
This is a paid internship starting at $20.00/Hour.
This is a 10-week summer internship from June 2, 2026- August6, 2026.
Work Environment:
Hybrid Schedule (3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote):
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00–9:00 a.m. and concluding between 5:00–6:00 p.m. local time.
Responsibilities
Draft and edit social media copy, blog summaries, and internal brand communications to support ongoing campaigns and initiatives.
Assist in brainstorming sessions by contributing creative ideas for brand activations, social content, and campaign concepts.
Compile research findings into clear, concise summaries to inform brand strategy discussions.
Support the development of internal presentations by organizing content, refining messaging, and ensuring visual consistency with brand standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Events, Content, Digital) to gather inputs and ensure brand alignment across projects.
Support on SHRM26 logistical planning.
Assist with brand asset organization and documentation to maintain consistency across materials.
Requirements
Field of study: pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or other related fields.
0-3 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and analytical skills.
High levels of commitment and initiative.
Ability to navigate or willingness to learn technology and software.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at a given time.
Possess creative thinking and problem-solving skills while implementing direction and feedback.

This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements may include:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and using office equipment.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed.
