
Community Relations Specialist

MISSION

PURPOSE Change lives, one ability at a time, by increasing visibility and engagement in various communities and segments. Identify and engage referral sources in order to increase awareness of MSS/TT brands, services, and events available.
VALUABLE FINAL PRODUCT (VFP) Build relationships and awareness to create an abundance of referral sources as well as new patients (leading to an increased number of established patients). Ensure TT/MSS have strong visibility and engagement in various communities and segments.
HOURS Full Time, Monday‑Friday 7:30am‑6pm (flexible) with some weekend and evening availability required.
Pay This position pay $20‑23 an hour, there is no additional flexibility within that payrange.
Requirements
Onsite at Mt Pleasant location with options for some remote work
Must be willing to travel to all 3 locations on occasion
Attend weekly marketing meeting
Attend monthly all staff meeting, presenting PRN
Attend/present at monthly management meeting PRN
Referral Community Management
Updated mailing lists (physical address and email addresses)
Referral source excel document up to date
Segment referral sources for more targeted communications
Foster relationships in the community coordinating
Social Media Involvement
Maintain healthy social media presence
Complete analytics/review of all social media platforms
Generate reviews on social media
Schedule posts for social media
Events Strategy & Management
Organize events & communicate with company prior to the event
Attend and represent MSS/TT at community events (employment fairs, advocacy events, events hosted by other organizations, etc.)
Hosting in‑house events as strategic promotional opportunities for MSS/TT – ideation and execution
Traditional PR: Radio/TV/Newspaper/Commercial management
Management of physical marketing materials including storage and deliverance to events
Works with digital and content specialist on hybrid campaigns (digital promotion and engagement inclusive of events, KPIs, etc.)
Ideate and create content (both digital and print) to support event and community-focused strategies, campaigns, and tactics
Print And Analog Marketing Content, Campaigns & Materials
Manages non‑digital campaigns (example: Doctor letter campaign)
Postcard mailing
Management of promotions such as flyers, educational materials, etc.
Printed poster, flyers, etc. needs identified and provided to each site location once obtained
Taking photos while on site at the clinic
Assist in management of facility appearance
Assist in purchasing and distribution of branded merch
Coordination With Digital And Content Specialist
Contributes to maturation of events marketing, works with digital and content specialist on where digital meets in‑person events, goals and KPIs
Assist with identifying marketing needs for company events
Tri My Best Triathlon Coordination
Fundraiser prep – flyers, events made on social media, social media posts reminders, photos at the event, preparation of event bin
Promotion of Registration deadlines
Promotion of Training camp info – due dates, changes in rates, date reminders
Race Weekend prep – Post heat sheets, Post Buddy instructions, reminders for equipment drop off, reminders about event parking
Race day – Live stream opening ceremonies, provide updates and photos throughout the day
Take photos and videos of all events and training camps
Create athlete spotlight posts
Create good luck videos
Countdown videos/photos to race
WRTS Marketing Needs: Content and Community
Community‑building for WRTS: identify opportunities, develop strategies and tactics & activate!
Feedback campaign development
Assist in purchasing and distribution of branded merchandise
Assist in management of facility appearance (posters, flyers, etc.)
Creation of promotional materials such as business cards, posters, flyers, etc.
In‑person marketing and promotion

Ability to use and manage statistical data and KPIs (key performance indicators) related to events and specific community‑related efforts

Creatively oriented, experience developing content and campaigns
Eye for design and experience in translating brand in design and content
Exhibits responsibility and professionalism
Strong communication skills – oral, written, and interpersonal, enjoys engaging 1:1 and 1:many, likes being out in the community and at events (work hours will be flexible as a result)
