Job Summary The Inside Sales Manager will lead our inside sales team across all departments. They are responsible for managing inside sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed performance targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and mentor inside sales representatives to build a high-performing team.

Provide consistent performance feedback and implement productivity-enhancing strategies.

Deliver ongoing training on products, services, and industry trends to keep the team informed.

Monitor sales calls for quality assurance and provide actionable feedback for improvement.

Educate team members on financing options and rebate programs to better assist customers.

Set and enforce engagement targets, ensuring proactive customer outreach through calls, emails, and other touchpoints to drive meaningful interactions.

Sales Performance & Strategy

Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, particularly for Plumbing and HVAC products.

Track daily sales activities, analyze performance metrics, and generate progress reports.

Establish and monitor engagement goals to ensure regular and effective communication with prospects and customers.

Collaborate with senior management to set and refine both short- and long-term sales goals.

Leverage financing and rebate opportunities to improve closing rates and enhance customer satisfaction.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and nurture strong customer relationships to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Oversee the customer lifecycle, including quotations, orders, and follow-ups, to ensure satisfaction.

Provide clear guidance on financing options and rebate programs to add value and affordability.

Submit weekly reports detailing follow-ups, customer touchpoints, and the progress of outstanding opportunities.

Membership Program Management

Develop, manage, and grow a residential plumbing and HVAC membership department.

Create membership packages that provide value to customers through regular maintenance, priority service, and discounts.

Collaborate with marketing to promote membership benefits and drive sign-ups.

Monitor membership retention rates and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Track and analyze membership performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.

Ensure members receive consistent, high-quality service to reinforce the value of their membership.

Product & Industry Knowledge

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Plumbing and HVAC systems, including key components and solutions.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to remain competitive.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure product availability and favorable pricing.

Stay informed on financing and rebate programs to provide customers with optimal solutions.

Operational Excellence

Manage and optimize CRM systems to track leads, opportunities, sales activities, and membership accounts effectively.

Coordinate with marketing and outside sales teams to capitalize on sales and membership opportunities.

Integrate financing and rebate details into CRM workflows for efficient customer communication.

Ensure engagement activities, including calls, emails, and follow-ups, are accurately logged and tracked in the CRM.

Financing and Rebates

Guide customers in understanding and utilizing financing options to make purchases affordable.

Educate customers on available manufacturer or government rebate programs for maximum savings.

Stay updated on new financing plans and rebate opportunities to deliver value to customers.

Process rebates efficiently on behalf of customers, ensuring timely submission and compliance with program requirements.

Monitor and follow up on the status of rebate claims to ensure customers receive their benefits promptly.

Ensure clear communication of financing and rebate options throughout all stages of the sales process to enhance customer trust.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of inside sales experience in the Plumbing and/or HVAC industry, with 1-2 years in a leadership role.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems, sales software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Analytical mindset with the ability to generate actionable insights from sales data.

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with Plumbing and HVAC products, applications, and industry standards.

Understanding of the sales process and ability to close opportunities efficiently.

Knowledge of available customer financing programs and manufacturer or government rebate options.
