The Inside Sales Specialist will provide service to our Aerospace clients, recommend solutions, support outside sales, generate quotes, and manage customer orders from entry to shipment. This role combines purchasing responsibilities with the inside sales team, making it ideal for a results-driven professional with growth aspirations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
Follow up on orders to ensure critical deliveries.
Develop purchasing and expediting strategies to improve tracking of overall orders.
Oversee the preparation of orders for vendors.
Identify orders in systems without vendor purchase orders.
Oversee pricing and processing orders, including inquiring costs with vendors.
Help solve customer delivery challenges and supply chain management.
Serves as the primary source to process and maintain visibility of material returns to vendors due to shipping issues, etc.
Maintain and optimize CRM usage to ensure accurate sales tracking and reporting.
Manage an established customer base- strategic account.
Partners with appropriate sales representatives to manage customer inventory levels.
Manages different Aerospace customer portals associated with the tracking of orders.
Partners with the Aerospace team in completing daily tasks.
Request and keep the required documentation for orders to meet specific requirements.
Experience
Professionally related work experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
Background in purchasing and/or expediting is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, attention-to-detail and time-management skills.
Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
Education Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in a similar industry.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, including a one-hour lunch.
Remote work is not available. Position is based in Jacksonville, FL.
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Knowledge of / proficiency in Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, a plus.
