Position Purpose Parks Building Solutions is growing and we need to expand our sales staff. We are looking for someone with a winning attitude. We sell and service all aspects of the construction industry; commercial, residential, retail, remodel, and new construction. The focus of this position will require networking with all aspects of the residential new construction builder. The geography we cover is based Fayetteville and Raleigh, NC but not limited to a specific area. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Acquire, develop and maintain new business relationships with industry partners. Oversee sales in the respective assigned territory Have complete knowledge of products and selling programs Keep all customers updated of any changes in new products, policies, procedures, and pricing. Ability to train all customer in the sales programs use to sell product Meet all monthly/yearly sales quotas set by management Abate client issues when they need to be brought to next-level management. Create metrics to track client retention, sales projections and create an effective sales strategy to attract new clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail, and communicate in a positive manner is essential. Communicating professionally and clearly is required. A thorough understanding of software, systems, business procedures, and problem-solving is necessary for success.
Minimum Qualifications Proven experience in developing business via a hands-on, proactive approach that fuels the growth of a business and increases annual revenues. Strong consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency basic computer skills Strong knowledge of flooring products, trends, design and functionality. Experience with creating proposals and contracts, using strong communication and presentation skills. Proven track record of success in managing and developing new customers, projects, and issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Superior communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 5+ years of sales experience in building materials Existing book of business or relationships with vendors and trade partners. Proficiency with 2020 Office software system
Working Conditions The Sales Representative will primarily work in an office environment 90% but may also spend time visiting construction sites, client offices, or attending industry events. The position may require occasional travel within the designated sales territory to meet with clients or attend meetings.
Physical requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods, especially during site visits or events. Must be able to lift and carry materials or samples weighing up to 50 pounds. Comfortable with using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers for extended periods. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing, writing, and handling product samples. May need to navigate construction sites or other potentially hazardous environments, so awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them is essential.
