Account Manager

The Account Manager position is directly responsible for selling new Freightliner and Western Star medium and heavy duty commercial trucks in a business-to-business sales environment to fleets, small business, and owner/operators. Essential job functions include: prospecting new business, creating truck specifications, understanding customer needs, preparing quotations, managing the entire sales cycle from truck order to delivery, and supporting sales of other dealership services. The pace is fast and demanding - all part of providing the best service possible to our customers.
Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience working in a Truck dealership or a related industry, such as truck leasing and rental, automotive, equipment, material handling, truck bodies, trailers, or other transportation related field
Driven personality capable of succeeding in a highly competitive industry
Extensive experience and documented success prospecting and closing new business
NO micromanagement
We encourage an entrepreneurial and independent approach to time and resource management
NO CRM activity requirements
We provide CRM tools for account management and data organization only, as well as an experienced administrative support team to maximize your productivity and sales so you can realize your earning objectives
NO excessive forecasting or reporting
Your time is invaluable and your personal sales success is our goal
Strong industry knowledge and participation in trade shows and local associations
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, dealer management, and truck specification systems
Commercial Driver's License required or must be willing and able to obtain
High School Diploma required, some College preferred
