Job Summary

The Leasing Agent needs to be energetic, have a positive attitude and desire a full‑time opportunity in a fast‑paced setting with a variety of activities and responsibilities. The Leasing Agent will have a broad range of responsibilities supporting residential prospects and tenants and assisting in other leasing and assistant property manager responsibilities. A Leasing Agent is a key member of the Travis Hyde Properties’ real‑estate and property management team responsible for facilitating the rental of residential properties. They function as the primary point of contact for potential residential tenants and play a crucial role in attracting and retaining tenants. The primary goal of a Leasing Agent is to ensure high occupancy rates and maintain strong tenant relationships. The Leasing Agent reports to the Asset Manager.
General Accountabilities Sales and Customer Satisfaction
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through various channels (e.g., phone, email, or in‑person).
Ensure all customer follow‑ups are conducted immediately and with attention to detail.
Actively listen to customers to understand their preferences, needs, and lifestyles.
Assist customers in finding the most suitable rental units based on their requirements.
Provide excellent customer service to build positive relationships and trust.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of customer interactions and feedback.
Work collaboratively with the operations teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
Continuously strive to meet or exceed sales and satisfaction goals.
Tenant Interaction
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from potential tenants regarding vacant properties.
Conduct property tours, highlighting the features and benefits of each unit.
Address tenant questions and concerns while providing exceptional customer service.
Marketing and Advertising
Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
Assist in advertising vacant units through various channels such as online listings, social media, and local publications.
Assist with maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date property listings on the company website and other relevant platforms.
Tenant Screening and Application Processing
Evaluate applications and communicate the approval or rejection process to applicants and Property Managers.
Lease Preparation and Execution
Prepare lease agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurate and legally compliant.
Coordinate the signing of lease agreements with tenants and address any questions they may have.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis
Suggest rent adjustments and improvements for Property Managers to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Administrative Tasks
Maintain accurate records and databases related to tenant information, lease agreements, and property availability.
Coordinate and assist Property Managers as needed.
Prepare regular reports for management regarding leasing activity, occupancy rate, and financial performance.
Additional tasks and assistant property manager tasks as assigned.
SCHEDULE
Full‑time (40 hours per week)
8‑hour shifts
Available weeknights and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in real estate leasing or property management is preferred.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with potential tenants and address their inquiries.
Basic knowledge of real estate laws and regulations related to leasing and fair housing practices.
Good organization and time‑management abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Must have reliable transportation.
Proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to the industry.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as leasing agents often need to accommodate potential tenants’ schedule.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
Ability to lift 20lbs.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
