THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Catering Sales Coordinator to help grow PHG’s catering revenue across our three core markets: corporate event catering, government and institutional food service contracts, and film and production craft services.

This is not a purely administrative role. You will be expected to actively build and manage a sales pipeline, respond to inbound leads with urgency, develop proposals that close, and cultivate long‑term client relationships that drive repeat business. The right person is organized, polished, and hungry to grow with a company that is scaling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Business Development

Manage and follow up on all inbound catering inquiries with professionalism and urgency

Develop and present compelling catering proposals, quotes, and event packages

Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, government, and production catering opportunities

Build and maintain a sales pipeline using CRM tools; track leads from inquiry through close

Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Represent PHG at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings

Client Coordination & Event Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients from contract through post‑event follow‑up

Coordinate event logistics between leadership, kitchen operations, and client teams

Manage event timelines, documentation, and scheduling with accuracy and attention to detail

Ensure every client interaction reflects PHG’s standard of hospitality excellence

Maintain organized client records, event files, and vendor contact databases

Support financial tracking, event projections, and post‑event reporting

Prepare sales kits, presentations, and event documentation in coordination with leadership

Manage calendars and coordinate internal communications across teams

IDEAL CANDIDATE Successful candidates will bring 2–4+ years of experience in catering sales, hospitality sales, or event coordination — with a demonstrated ability to build client relationships and close business.

Sales‑minded with strong follow‑through — you don’t wait for business to come to you

Excellent communicator — clear, professional, and personable with clients and internal teams

Highly organized — able to manage multiple events and client accounts simultaneously

Detail‑oriented — accurate in proposals, documentation, and client communication

Hospitality‑aware — you understand that service is not just a function, it’s a standard

Tech‑comfortable — experience with Tripleseat, Google Workspace, or similar CRM/event platforms preferred

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

Catering sales or event sales in a hotel, restaurant, or standalone catering company

Hospitality sales support in a corporate, government, or institutional setting

Event coordination with direct client‑facing and proposal development experience

Experience supporting government or institutional food service bids a strong plus

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum High School Diploma or GED; undergraduate degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred

2–4+ years of relevant hospitality, catering, or sales experience

Must be able to pass a Level II background check

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE First 30 Days

Complete onboarding on PHG’s services, client base, and CRM systems

Shadow leadership on active sales calls, proposals, and event coordination

Respond to and qualify all inbound catering inquiries independently

First 60 Days

Independently manage the sales process for 3+ catering events from inquiry to contract

Maintain an active, organized pipeline with accurate documentation and follow‑up

Deliver at least one new business proposal to a prospective corporate or institutional client

First 90 Days

Coordinate and close 5+ catering events with positive client feedback

Contribute measurably to monthly catering revenue targets

Identify and propose at least one process improvement in the sales or coordination workflow
