
Marketing and Communications Assistant

We are on the lookout for a spirited and imaginative individual to join our vibrant marketing team as a Marketing & Communications Assistant. In this role, you'll be instrumental in crafting and executing strategies that elevate our brand presence through social media, community engagement, and internal messaging. We're searching for someone with a storytelling passion, a profound understanding of social media dynamics, and the ability to build a sense of community both inside and outside the organization to consistently improve our brand efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Actively engage with our audience and target market on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Develop innovative ways to experience Mechanics within our community, using social media as a primary method of promotion, communication, and advocacy.
Highlight our people through announcements and spotlights.
Write, produce, and appear in engaging videos with high entertainment value. Focus on a strategy that can grow and expand, so that others look forward to seeing, participating in, and watching.
Produce quality videos from start to finish using appropriate equipment, apps, and software.
Embrace new digital media trends; recommend and implement new media. Monitor data and track trends.
Help maintain the consistency of the brand on the intranet and provide timely communication to help foster internal connectedness.
Community Involvement
Actively participate in community events, extending beyond regular hours. Rally the team for volunteer opportunities and coordinate group involvement.
Contribute to Mechanics-hosted community events like Mechanics Mondays, Cash Mobs, and Live at Lunch.
Engage and participate in community groups (Richland Young Professionals (RYP), Ashland Young Professionals (AYP), Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce).
Develop creative strategies to further connect Mechanics with the community.
Internal Marketing
Play a crucial role in ensuring the positive delivery of all marketing strategies and tactics, rallying co-workers' excitement for new campaigns and strategies.
Help in developing and delivering marketing collateral and serve as the Marketing liaison for branches.
Manage the ordering, storage, and inventory of logo merchandise, ensuring materials are on-hand for upcoming/ reoccurring events.
Assist management with various administrative tasks and take on any other duties assigned, contributing your skills to the team and other departments' overall success.
Assist with project management, including benchmarking and timelines.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
Experience : Previous Marketing and video production experience preferred, as well as exposure to social media.
Computer/Hardware Skills : Microsoft Office products, video editing and graphic design software
