The Social Media Marketing Assistant supports the execution of the company's social media strategy by creating, scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing content across multiple platforms. This role plays a key part in building brand awareness, engaging audiences, and supporting marketing campaigns through consistent, on-brand social media activity.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Scheduling

Assist in creating engaging social media content (copy, images, short-form video) aligned with brand voice and marketing objectives. Schedule and publish posts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and others as applicable. Maintain and update a social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting. Community Management

Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions. Respond to basic inquiries and route customer service or sales-related messages to the appropriate teams. Engage with followers and industry-related content to increase visibility and interaction. Campaign Support

Support social media execution for marketing campaigns, product launches, events, and promotions. Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, HR, sales) to gather content and messaging. Assist with employer branding and recruiting related social media content as needed. Analytics & Reporting

Track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth. Prepare basic social media reports and insights to support ongoing optimization. Monitor trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to identify opportunities. Brand & Compliance

Ensure all social media content aligns with brand guidelines and company policies. Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and visual standards. Support adherence to legal, HR, and compliance guidelines for public-facing content. Required Qualifications

1-2 years of experience managing or supporting social media accounts (internship or co-op experience acceptable). Familiarity with major social media platforms and best practices. Strong written communication and attention to detail. Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.). Knowledge of paid social media advertising fundamentals. Experience supporting B2B or manufacturing/industrial brands (if applicable). Knowledge of farm & agricultural market Key Skills & Competencies
